Sailing courses for all levels
On Lake Garda, and in particular in the Val di Sogno Bay, which is our location, you will find ideal conditions for beginners. To begin with, you will learn in small groups from scratch sailing basics and you will leave equipped with a sailing basics certificate. Our exclusive instruction method via radio is one of the reasons why this becomes possible. The wireless connection between instructor and student allows participants, from the very beginning, to sail on their own even at intermediate wind strengths. The instructor will move from boat to boat, from crew to crew, and correct the small group of 3-4 boats via radio, directly, at the right moment and in a quiet tone. Gone are the times of croaking noises from a megaphone!After the basics class there are two alternative ways of progressing: in a A-certificate or „Sportbootführerschein“ licence class ( german sailing licence), five more days will take you to the official sailing certificate. Alternatively, you can improve your sailing technique in a dinghy perfection class.
For more accomplished sailors there is the option to improve their boat handling skills on trapeze dinghies in rougher wind conditions, to operate trapeze and spinnaker, and to learn a lot about boat trimming and fast speed sailing. Modern sailing, which may be your preparation for going into regatta sailing later on.

Advanced courses-race training
This second class takes students to the examination for the SBF Binnen certificate held by the VDS committee for sailing and motorboat. The exams will take place fortnightly, provided a sufficient number of students register for the exam. We do not offer preparation for the written test. We recommend that you take the practical exam first and to take the written exam later on, for example in an evening class.
Again, our training focus is on intensive practical sailing instruction. This is the reason why this class can also be booked as F class for sailors subsequent to the beginner’s class. The training units with motor will be obsolete, and will be replaced with further sailing units.
So, if you want to improve your sailing skills rather than just necessarily acquiring the sport boat licence, this class is the right choice for you.
Perfection class:
For accomplished sailors we offer the option to improve their boat handling on trapeze keel boats in rougher wind conditions, to operate trapeze and spinnaker and to learn a lot about boat trimming and fast speed sailing. Modern sailing, which may be your preparation for going into regatta sailing later on.
Our regatta trainings are a special treat indeed!
In spring we offer, in addition to club and association trainings, open trainings for different boat classes. You will need to bring along your own boat! Dates of scheduled trainings are published in the news section.
For some of these trainings, we book external instructors, world champions and professionals in the respective boat class, for example Gavin Colby, Hobie world champion, or Helge Sach , F-18 WORLD CHAMPION 2006:
Clubs and class associations can book their trainings with accommodation in the Stickl sport hotel, and use the infrastructure with buoys, landing stage, support boat, room for theory lessons, showers, changing rooms and parking space for trailers. Alternatively, they can work with their own instructors.
