"After the basics in the beginner's course on Hobie 15, it's sporty on Hobie 16 with harness, better technique and even more fun."

“The right course for dinghy or keelboat sailors who want to "switch over" to cat sailing, or for sailors who have already completed a cat course but have no sailing experience to show for it.“

Prerequisites:

Experience through dinghy sailing course and subsequent practice, many years of sailing experience on dinghies and small keelboats, Cat beginner courses in holiday clubs, Cat practice in light winds without harness.

Course Content:

Scarce sailing theory, because we assume that the participants have acquired the basic knowledge.
Differences between monohull and multihull boats in theory and practice.
Technique and movement sequences on the Cat.
Faster introduction to the basics of cat sailing than in the beginners course.
All manoeuvres incl. capsizing and righting
Arrival and departure from beach and buoy
Tack and jibe technique
Harness sailing. Depending on the level of the course group, sailing with a helmsman's harness is also possible.

Equipment:

Wir stellen Neoprenanzüge, Trapeze und Schwimmwesten kostenlos zur Verfügung. Schuhe sollten mitgebracht werden. Oder sie erwerben die idealen Neopren-Slipper für nur 40,- vor Ort.

Course times:

Die Kurszeiten richten sich nach Windverhältnissen und Kurslevel. Damit jede Kursgruppe bei bestmöglichen Bedingungen auf´s Wasser geht, werden die Kurszeiten täglich neu festgelegt und von 7.30-8.30 auf der SERVICE-SEITE mobil.stickl.com online gestellt.
