Better cat sailing on the Hobie 16 with double harness and safe maneuvers. Technical subtleties that guarantee more fun. With top material, radio training and the Stickl professional team.

The right course for cat sailors who already have practical experience and sail all maneuvers safely with a foresailor in the trapeze in medium winds. In the F2 course the demand is higher, the wind stronger and more emphasis is placed on clean sailing technique. The aim is to sail safely and quickly in a double trapeze in 4-5 Beaufort.

Prerequisites:

Participation in at least one F1 course.Experience on a Hobie 16 or comparable catamaran as helmsman up to 3 Beaufort with all manoeuvres and foreship harness. Righting after capsize.

Refinement of the Cat technique in all manoeuvres and medium winds.
Trapeze sailing and double trapeze
Turning from the helmsman's trapeze,
Flyer technique as a precursor to genoa sailing
Speed jibing as a precursor to later neck jibing
Use of the trimming devices
Basics for fast sailing through correct trim
Improvement of the handling also in difficult situations. Sailing will be on Hobie 16. There is a lot of emphasis on clean sailing technique and correct "moves" on the Cat. Thorough dry training as preparation and of course intensive input by instructions by radio!

Equipment:

We provide wetsuits, harnesses and life jackets free of charge. Shoes should be brought along. Or you can purchase the ideal neoprene slippers for only 30,- on site.

Course times:

The course times depend on wind conditions and course level. To ensure that each course group is on the water in the best possible conditions, the course times are set daily and published online at 8.20 a.m. on the SERVICE-SITE mobil.stickl.com.

Extras:

VDWS Cat Basic Licence. Registration and exam fee 30,-€ on site.
