“In this course you start your sailing career! On the open keel boat DYAS, which cannot capsize, but can be steered agilely like a dinghy, you learn the basic skills very quickly and safely without special physical requirements. Sailing fun from young to old!“

Prerequisites:

Without any previous knowledge you will learn to handle a keelboat in only 5 days. Of course you should be able to swim, be healthy, sporty and not be afraid of water.

Course Content:

Basic Ticket Theory
Set sail and recover.
All courses and course changes.
Tacking and jibing
Q- Turn and wait position
Mooring and casting off buoy
overboard buoy manoeuvre
Theory exam for the sailing basic licence
Practical exam for the sailing basic licence

After 5 days with daily 3 hours of instruction in theory and practice, all course participants sail a fun regatta at the end. Intensive training with and only 2-3 students per boat make these successes possible!

Equipment: We provide wetsuits, harnesses and life jackets free of charge. You should bring your own shoes. Or you can purchase the ideal neoprene slippers for just €40 on site.

Course times:

The course times depend on the wind and weather and the level of the course group. They are therefore redefined daily and published on the Internet at mobil.stickl.com from 7.30-8.30 am.
