"Learn to sail easily from the age of 6! At the OPTI-CURSE at the Sportcamp kids and parents feel at ease right away. Safe fun with a professional team, so that games quickly turn into real sailing!

Sailing course for children beginners

Prerequisites:

Kids should be at least 6 years old, have completed the first year of primary school, know how to swim and enjoy it themselves, not just the parents!

Course Content:

Practical theory of sailing suitable for children
Rigging the school boat the Optimist
Steering and sail handling
Sail and understand all courses
Tacking and jibing
capsize and right
Mooring and unmooring on beach and buoy

For more than 25 years we have been offering qualified sailing lessons on Optimists for kids at beginner and advanced levels.

The trainer guarantees both qualified instruction and safety and fun for children from 6 to 12 years. In addition to a lot of practice, the children are taught the necessary theoretical knowledge in a child-friendly way and as a highlight of the course, the student then acquires the youngest diploma of the Association of German Sailing Schools (VDS).

The Optiregatta at the end of the course is always a lot of fun. At the prize giving on Friday evening the kids always play a leading role.

Sailing course children advanced

Prerequisite:

Knowledge after the beginner course. Minimum age 6 years, be able to swim and above all have fun in the water!

Course Content:

Sailing on the Opti in medium winds
Riding out and using the tiller boom in manoeuvres
Improvement of all manoeuvres of the E-course with more wind
Sailing a buoy course independently

TOP: Radio coaching is also used in the optics course!

Weekly program and services

Issue of rental equipment SA and SO from 9.00 a.m. onwards
Welcome drink and briefing on Sunday 18.00 in the sports camp
5-day course programme with 2.5 hours per day MO-FR
equipment provided
Welcome evening on MO. at the Rosa Beach restaurant*
Theory exam on FR. (Youngest - sailing license)
Final regatta
Closing evening on FR. with prize-giving at the Rosa Beach restaurant *

Equipment:
We provide wetsuits, harnesses and life jackets free of charge. Shoes should be brought along. Or you can purchase the ideal neoprene slippers for only 30,- € on site.

Course times:

The course times depend on wind and weather and the level of the course group. Therefore, they are determined daily and published at 8.20 a.m. on the Internet at mobil.stickl.com.

Extras: VDS- youngest diploma. Registration and examination fee 30,-€ on site
