The Stickl Team-The guarantor for fun and success

Since 1976, one team has been passing on its experience to the next. New employees are trained into a proven team in good time so that they are then fit for the "changing of the guard". In this way, each team grows with the experience of the "old ones".

Permanent Team Trainings and active participation in the design of the processes also contribute to the fact that simply everyone masters their job perfectly.
The technical skills in surfing, kitesurfing and sailing are of course constantly improved by the possibility to train in optimal wind conditions.
Team training sessions and daily briefings guarantee a uniform system and contents of the courses.

BENJI

It is well known that a large part of the Netherlands lies below sea level, so a true Dutchman must either be a good swimmer or be able to sail and windsurf.
Tacking and jibing were clearly more appealing to me than crawling and treading water, so I learned to master the boat and board from an early age.
Following the tradition of the great seafaring nation, I left the coasts of Friesland behind me, cruised on the North Sea, the Mediterranean, the Atlantic, the Indian Ocean and the Red Sea, as an instructor and school director in clubs and water sports stations and now anchor at Lake Garda since 2015.
Already in the fifth year I call the bay of Val di Sogno my home port and since then I sail under the flag STICKL Sportcamp.
Over 30 years ago I discovered my enthusiasm for sharing the knowledge of wind, waves and water with generations of water sports students.
With passion I teach catamaran sailing and windsurfing from entry to perfection. Of course, as a certified VDWS windsurfing cat and sailing instructor with station manager qualification. And I spin my sailor yarn in five and a half languages.

Pro-tip: "Anluven is not a permanent condition!"

Sailing and cat sailing

I am a real "Stickler" and repeat offender for over 11 years. I have a DSV sailing coach license and have been sailing for 24 years, formerly as an active regatta sailor in the Laser. Today I enjoy foiling on my Waszp and part-time again and again as a sailing instructor on Dyas and Seascape.

Since a few years I am also a passionate kitesurfer.

I'm a sucker for anything foiling and pulpo!

Kitesurfing

I started kiting 20 years ago and made the sport my profession 15 years ago. At many spots like Egypt, Venezuela and Domenican Republic. In 2009 I took over the management of the kite school at Stickl Sportcamp until 2011. After a longer break for health reasons and an intermezzo in a sales job I came back to the Sportcamp in 2019 and since then I am again the "Capo" of the kite station.

Sailing and cat sailing

My name is Nick and I am the "northern light" in the team. I come from Stralsund sailing since early childhood. From the Opti to the 44 F-Yacht in the club and at regattas. Since 2016 I have been coaching kids in different boat classes. From 2016 to 2019 I had my first job at a sailing and surfing school as a water sports assistant and graduated as a licensed VDWS sailing and catamaran instructor and coach C license of the DOSB.
I joined the Stickl team in the summer of 2020 as a flexible trainer for everything from optics courses to sailing courses to Cat-F courses.
Sailing is my life!

Cat sailing and Ifly 15

Hey, my name is Chris. I'm 23 years old and come from near Stuttgart.
My passion for water sports was passed on to me directly from my parents. For as long as I can remember, we have been travelling to the water at weekends in our motorhome and boat trailer. Over the years, my sister and I have taken part in many ranking list regattas as well as youth and German championships on our Hobie Cat 16.
I also really enjoy everything else that has to do with water, wind and waves.
I got my first sailing licence on the Opti at the Stickl Sportcamp when I was ten years old and I'm really looking forward to returning as a coach.

Foiling Waszp - Ifly 15-Quant23

Hi, my name is Ben, I'm Irish and I'm 20 years old.

I've been a keen sailor from a young age, have sailed all kinds of dinghies, yachts and foiling boats and also love kitesurfing.

I have spent a lot of time at various regattas around the world and have built up experience as a coach over the last few years, from beginners to racing and performance level.

My current passion is the Waszp class, but as long as it floats and moves, I'm not too fussy! Whether you want to stand on the wings and feel speed for the first time or glide your first gybe or tack, there's plenty of fun to be had.

I look forward to seeing everyone at the camp!

Sailing and windsurfing

I first stood in a sailing boat on a Dyas at the Stickl sports camp when I was just over a year old. After that, I was drawn to windsurfing, which I still do regularly today. At the age of ten, I started sailing in different boat classes (dinghies, keelboats, catamarans and yachts). After graduating from high school last year, I completed the SBF Binnen and See as well as the theory for the SKS. I then worked as an instructor at the HYS in Glücksburg for several weeks. I am now 19 years old and continue to sail with great enthusiasm on lakes, the Baltic Sea and in the Mediterranean. I look forward to spending many wonderful hours with you on and off the water!

Sailing

Since 2015 I am with Stickl Sportcamp and teach everything that has a hull. Started with Opti and Feva, in recent years mainly courses on the Dyas and Seascape 18.

In my spare time, I sail a lot on large keelboats and occasionally train for the SBF Binnen/See and Bodenseeschifferpatent.

However, I have not forgotten the sporty sailing despite the leisurely cruising. In the youth I sailed actively regattas with the Opti and the Europe.

I am looking forward to surfing with you on Lake Garda with the Genacker and the Seascape at up to 15 knots in strong winds, as well as introducing you to the beauty of sailing in sunshine and light winds on the beginners' course

Foiling - Sailing Seascape

At the age of 12, I learnt to sail on Lake Wolfgang near Salzburg. From Opti & 420 to the 29er, everything was there.

I then ended up as a foresailor in the 470 class, in which I sailed for the Austrian national team in the World Cup and at European and World Championships for several years.

After my career in the Olympic boat class, I got into cat sailing and foiling. As a preliminary for the Red Bull Youth Americas Cup, I gained experience on boats such as the Moth, Extreme 40 and GC 32. The Cup itself was then sailed on foiling AC 45s, with which we flew across the bay off Bermuda at over 30 knots.

Throughout my sailing career I have worked as a sailing coach on Lake Wolfgang and I am delighted to be able to support the Stickl Sportcamp this summer.

Ciao,

My name is Luca, I come from Rome, this is my first season as an "embroiderer".

I have been working as a sailing and surfing instructor for 25 years and I have experience with cat sailing, dinghy sailing, surfing and...sun tanning!

Ok, I'm joking. I have a VDWS surf licence and a yacht licence and I speak fluent English, French, Turkish and Italian; leud my German is so-so, but I hope I can improve it with you.

So, boys and girls, are you ready? I'll be waiting for you at the sports camp in the Val di Sogno bay.

Cat Sailing

My name is Clara, I am 23 years old and currently studying medicine in my 8th semester.

Like some other crew members, I grew up with Lake Garda and Stickl Sportcamp. I started sailing in the Opti. Very soon I had discovered the passion for catamaran sailing and for years I took courses at the Sportcamp and expanded my skills significantly. Since then, a year without sailing is unimaginable for me.

In addition, since I have been working at Lake Garda, I have found kiting for me.

Since 2016 I have been working at Stickl Sportcamp during my semester break and mainly teach catamaran and optics courses. I am already looking forward to new challenges in my next season and many great, new and familiar, course participants!

Wingsurfing/ Foilem

Hey, I'm Heidi, I'm from near Stuttgart and I'm 21 years old.
About 3 years ago, I held a wing in my hand for the first time. I was a bit dubious at first because of the lack of a mast, but then I quickly became enthusiastic about this new water sport.
What convinces me the most is the rapid progress you make within a short time and the new possibilities, such as being able to go out on the water despite light winds. After 3 years of practice and my VDWS Wing Instructor exam, I will now work as an instructor alongside my studies.
I'm really looking forward to my first season as a wing instructor at Sportcamp Stickl this summer.
I hope I can also inspire you to wingen...See you :)

Cat Sailing

Hello

I am Caroline. I stood on a surfboard for the first time at the age of 11. At 14, I started sailing in a course at the Stickl Sportcamp. In the years that followed, I switched to the Hobie 16 and sailed in many courses at the Sportcamp. The Hobie 16 became my favourite cat. Sailing challenges both mind and body and has become my favourite sport. At the sports camp I will mainly teach the youngest on Hobie Teddy

Sailing courses for children and young people

Hey!
My name is Anne-Sophie.
I came into contact with water sports at an early age through my family and practically grew up with them. Since I sailed an Opti for the very first time here at the Stickl Sportcamp on Lake Garda at the age of 6, I have fallen more and more in love with sailing over the years (especially here). From optimists to surfing and sailing monohulls to cat sailing, I've done almost everything, diligently collected all kinds of sailing and surfing licences, both here and at home, and never lost the fun. Sailing has become an increasingly present part of my life, even outside of my annual time here, and a real hobby, as well as work to some extent. So I've been sailing for a long time now and I really enjoy it
and now I'm here!

I look forward to getting to know you, see you soon!
Anne-Sophie 🙂

Sailing

Ciao Ragazzi, since 2015 you can always find me at Stickl Sportcamp. After a short professional break also again in summer 2021!

You will find me on monohulls as well as on the sportier catamarans.

Privately I sail mainly on F18 catamarans and Melges24 regattas. If there is no boat available, I also like to hang on the kite.

I look forward to meeting you at Lake Garda!

Fynn

Fynn

Cat Sailing

Hello-I'm Fynn!

I've been spending time on the water for as long as I can remember. First as a more or less voluntary helper on my father's trainer boat, and later, from the age of 6, on my own "OPTI" to make the Berlin lakes unsafe. But I didn't stop in Berlin. I soon discovered regatta sailing for myself and sailed regattas all over Germany. After a short trip in the 420, I ended up in the 29er. In which I continued to take part in events all over Europe.

I had my first contact with the Stickl sports camp in summer 2020 when I tried out a "Waszp" for the first time. As I love both sailing and Lake Garda, I very quickly had the idea of combining the two as a coach at the sports camp. One thing led to another and so I've been part of the coaching team since this season.

I look forward to sharing my enthusiasm for sailing with you. See you soon Fynn

Foiling

Hi my name is Conall, I'm 19 years old and I'm from Australia. I teach the foiling courses at Stickl Sportcamp on the Waszp, Skeeta and I-Fly 15.

My passion for sailing started 12 years ago, first on Hobie catamarans, then on monohulls like the Open BIC and finally on a 29er. I currently sail the Waszp class and have been lucky enough to compete all over the world. I am the current Australian Waszp Champion and am competing for the Waszp World Championships in December...
I have been teaching for over 5 years at various levels, from beginner to advanced, and I love the thrill of teaching!

I am currently doing a gap year and plan to study marine engineering and turn my passion for sailing into a career!

I hope to see you on the water!

"Moin,
I'm Kim and I'm originally from beautiful Hamburg. That's why I started kitesurfing in the North and Baltic Seas, although six years ago I also spent a few hours on Lake Garda. Now that I've got my kite instructor licence, I'm changing sides and looking forward to showing you the fascination of what I consider to be the best sport of all in my first season with Team Stickl!

Apart from that, I'm enthusiastic about pretty much every kind of sport, especially football and sailing at the moment - if it's not about sport, then it's mainly about all kinds of 'flying' topics. But I'm also happy to talk to you about topics that are completely foreign to me in a relaxed atmosphere in order to gain new perspectives.

See you soon and hang loose :)"

Opti -Feva and Cat courses

I was on an Opti for the first time at the age of five in my home town of Düsseldorf. When I finally turned six, I was allowed to get on the Optis here on Lake Garda. Since then, I have returned to the Stickl Sportcamp again and again over the last eleven years, I started surfing, sailed Feva and then catamaran and dinghy. At the age of 16, I completed my Sbf licence for motor and sailing and now work in a sailing school in Düsseldorf.
Like every year, I am looking forward to a new Garda season, this time as a coach! I am looking forward to our time together on the lake!

Kind regards
Luisa

Anton

Wingsurfing & Foiling

Anton Reuter my name.
I'm a young lad from the north of Germany and have been at the Stickl Sportcamp on Lake Garda since 2021. I've been on and off the water since I could walk. In addition to sailing, surfing and kiting, wing foiling has been one of my absolute favourites since 2020. The almost eerily silent gliding over the water and the feeling of freedom make this sport an absolute adrenaline rush. But you shouldn't underestimate foiling. Thanks to my already strong knowledge of windsurfing and windsurf foiling, I was able to quickly adapt the feel of the board and glide safely over the water in less than 10 hours. You can clearly see that previous knowledge of water sports really helps. I was able to develop my skills on the magnificent waters of Lake Garda and introduce foiling to students. I look forward to seeing you again. Ahoy

Kitesurfing

Hi, I'm Andi and I come from the beautiful South Tyrol in the north of Italy. This year I'm working for you for the 2nd year at the Stickl Sportcamp and I'll teach you how to tame this kite. Which I do with a lot of fun, passion, humour and calm 🙂 I've only been kiting myself for 4 years but I'm pretty fit in foiling and freestyling. I have been a VDWS-licensed instructor for 2.5 years and am already looking forward to the coming season, which I will spend at Lake Garda and hopefully be able to share with many new and familiar faces.

Surfing and sailing

Hi, I'm Eva, I'm 18 years old and I graduated from high school this spring. I come from a water sports family and I've been doing water sports for as long as I can remember, at the lake or the sea. When I first stood on a surfboard at the age of 5, I discovered my enthusiasm for windsurfing. But I've always enjoyed sailing too: on pirates, Hobies or 50-foot yachts in the Mediterranean.

I look forward to spending many hours with you on and off the water.

Sailing and surfing

Moin, I'm Juri, 17 years old and fresh out of school. Nine years ago I sat in an Opti at the Stickl sports camp and took my first sailing course. Since then, the element of water has never let me go. Not a year has gone by without me being drawn to the sea or the Italian lakes for yacht and dinghy sailing, as well as kitesurfing, wave surfing and windsurfing. I mainly sail monohulls such as the Korsar and RS 500, and what was just a distant dream nine years ago has now become a reality: From this summer season, I will be working as an Opti coach at the Stickl Sportcamp. I hope to give young and old alike an introduction to the world of sailing and to be able to share my passion with them.

I look forward to seeing you!

Sailing - Foiling- Cat sailing

Hello, I discovered my passion for water sports as a small child on a surfboard, but after sailing for the first time I stuck with it. Since then I have sailed numerous boat classes such as Laser, 29er, J70 and F16. I currently sail 49ers, J70s and Moths on my home lake, Lake Constance. I have also been working as a coach there for a few years now, teaching children and young people the joy of sailing on the 29er. I am looking forward to working as a coach in a very professional team at the Stickl Sportcamp on Lake Garda this summer. See you at the Lago!

Sailing

Hello everyone, I was born with a love of water sports from my parents. I got my first water lessons on our family H-boat on Lake Constance. As a child, I moved from the Opti to the Laser and then to the 29er. At the moment I spend most of my time in the water on the 49er, the J70 (occasionally the WASZP) and the surfboard. In addition to my studies, I give training for Optimists, O'pen Skiff and Laser in Switzerland on Lake Constance. I look forward to setting sail with you at the Stickl Sportcamp as a trainer in the water sports paradise in Malcesine.

Kitesurfing

Hi, it's Julian,
In 2010 I was here for the first time and enjoyed the European summer as a kitesurfing instructor at the Stickl Sport Camp on Lake Garda.
A lot has happened since then, but this summer remains unforgettable. I am now happy to be able to share my hobby and passion for water sports with you again and to provide unforgettable kitesurfing experiences. Since then, I have successfully helped many students learn to kitesurf. As a trained boat builder and sailor, I particularly enjoy the morning north wind sessions on Lake Garda, but I can give helpful tips on many areas.
